What can I expect from Post and Beam design?

The list is very long. Let’s start with superb standard features and unique craftsmanship.

The venture into Post and Beam construction has been very exciting for Cripps Contracting Ltd.

Most home or cottage owners identify a Post and Beam design by large open spaces (with cathedral ceilings) married to the natural beauty of the exposed wood. Post and Beam construction has steadfastly remained a solid choice for many home and cottage owners today.

What is Gutter Protection and why do I need it?

The gutters and eaves troughs on your home have a really important job. They are the anchor to your rainwater management system which prevents damage.

When your gutter protection works properly it helps prevent the growth of mold, deck and foundation damage and the infestation of rodents and mosquito larvae.

Should we Renovate or Rebuild?

Renovating or rebuilding a home or cottage is one of the biggest expenses most people will manage in their lifetime. Dave Nodwell’s Muskoka Contracting understand first hand that the big decisions need to be the right ones.

When considering renovating, the first thing you need to consider is the structure itself.

Do you like it? Are you happy with the design? If you're dreaming about a completely contemporary look and you currently live in a turn of the century style dwelling, renovating may not be for you.

There are several critical steps to completing any construction project. No matter how big your project is, from beginning to end, the key to its success is solid communication between yourself and your builder.

What happened to Muskoka Containerized Services (MCS)?

Our builder tells me they only call Waste Services (CA). What happened to Muskoka Containerized Services (MCS)? Not to worry they are still a great company that is one in the same.

Almost a decade ago (then Capitol Environmental now) Waste Services (CA) Inc purchased Muskoka Containerized Services and operated under the presale name until spring of 2009.

In doing so, the Muskoka division remained for a long time the only division of Waste Services in North America that did not go by the corporate name. For the sake of promoting the company North America-wide, all divisions within the company will now operate under the same name. Hence the logo and name change.
