What happened to Muskoka Containerized Services (MCS)?

Our builder tells me they only call Waste Services (CA). What happened to Muskoka Containerized Services (MCS)? Not to worry they are still a great company that is one in the same.

Almost a decade ago (then Capitol Environmental now) Waste Services (CA) Inc purchased Muskoka Containerized Services and operated under the presale name until spring of 2009.

In doing so, the Muskoka division remained for a long time the only division of Waste Services in North America that did not go by the corporate name. For the sake of promoting the company North America-wide, all divisions within the company will now operate under the same name. Hence the logo and name change.

To keep it simple, think of the name change as nothing more than a "corporate migration".

Waste Services currently holds the district's garbage and recycling contract. (Residentially they also do the organics collection.) Waste Services (CA) provide contracted services to an industrial and commercial sector of over 600 businesses and the company accommodates to the temporary service needs of contractors throughout Muskoka and Georgian Bay (which is why your builder has a long term relationship with MCS/WSI).

Waste Service (CA) is still the great company your contractor and resident alike have been working with for years. They have just retired the long standing name MCS.
